A complete guide to using EnneagramTest
with your clients
Contents
Section 1
What is EnneagramTest?
EnneagramTest is a professional platform that allows therapists, coaches and counsellors to offer their clients a guided Enneagram discovery session — fully branded to their own practice.
Each session is a one-to-one AI-guided conversation of around 20–25 minutes. The AI explores the client's motivations, patterns and behaviours using the full 27-subtype Enneagram framework. At the end of the conversation, the client receives a detailed personalised report covering their type, subtype, instinct stacking, growth path, and much more.
When the session ends, the report is generated and delivered to your dashboard for review. You then send it to your client via a secure link — they receive it by email.
What EnneagramTest is not
EnneagramTest is a personal development tool, not a clinical assessment. The Enneagram is an interpretive framework — results should always be discussed and validated with the client directly. The report is a starting point for your work together, not a final verdict.
Section 2
Getting started — your account
Registering
To create your account, visit the registration page at enneagramtest.co.uk/register. Enter your name and professional email address, then complete the payment for your starter pack of 3 sessions (£39.00).
Your account is created automatically as soon as payment is confirmed. You will receive a welcome email containing your admin dashboard link.
Logging in
- Go to your admin dashboard: enneagramtest-app.pages.dev/admin
- Enter your registered email address and click Send login code
- Check your inbox for the one-time code (arrives within seconds)
- Enter the code — you are now logged in
- Bookmark the dashboard URL for easy access next time
Logging out
Click the Log out link in the top right corner of the dashboard. This is particularly important if you are using a shared or clinic computer.
Section 3
Your admin dashboard
Your dashboard has three tabs: Assessments, Settings, and Reviews.
Assessments tab
This is where you manage your session credits. At the top you'll see a summary of your assessments:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| available | Assessment is ready to be assigned to a client |
| assigned | Sent to a client — waiting for them to complete the session |
| used | Session completed — report generated and delivered |
| expired | Assessment was not used within the expiry period |
Each row in the assessment table shows the client's name, email, report type, assignment date, and expiry date. Once a report has been sent, the client's row shows the date it was sent underneath their name, and a View report button appears in the Actions column so you can reopen it — see Section 8.
Settings tab
Customise how your session page and emails appear to clients, and set your default report type. Also contains your unique referral link for earning bonus tokens. See Section 4 and Section 10.
Reviews tab
Submit a review of your experience with EnneagramTest. Reviews are checked before publication. See Section 11.
Section 4
Customising your branding
The Settings tab allows you to personalise every client-facing element of the platform — the session page your clients see, and the emails they receive.
Practitioner details
- Display name — the name shown to clients, e.g. Dr Sarah Jones or Sarah at MindPath Therapy. This is separate from your login email.
- Booking link — optional. If you add your Calendly or booking page URL here, a link to book a session with you appears in the report delivery email your client receives. Leave blank to hide it.
Colours
Set three colours for your session page:
- Primary colour — used for headings, buttons, and key highlights
- Accent colour — used for secondary elements and hover states
- Background colour — the page background your clients see
Use the colour picker or type a hex code directly. Your changes are previewed live on the session page once saved.
Font
Choose from five professional typefaces. A live preview appears next to the dropdown so you can see exactly how it looks before saving.
Logo & photo
- Practice logo — appears at the top of the session intro screen and in client emails. Paste the URL of your logo image.
- Therapist photo — a circle headshot shown on the intro screen and chat header. Paste the URL of your photo. Square images work best.
Email template
When you send a client their session link, the email uses your personal template:
- Subject line — the email subject. Default: "Your Enneagram session from [your name]"
- Opening message — the first paragraph of the email, written in your voice
- Email footer — your practice name, phone number, website — anything you want at the bottom of every email
Default report type
Choose which report your clients receive by default — the Personal Insight Report or the Professional Insight Report:
- Personal Insight Report — a personal development report covering the full Enneagram framework: type, subtype, strengths, vice & virtue, struggle and growth lines, growth path, and more. Suited to therapy, counselling, and personal coaching contexts.
- Professional Insight Report — a professional profile reframed for the workplace: executive summary, motivational drivers, workplace strengths, communication and collaboration style, leadership approach, response to stress and change, and team fit. Suited to HR, leadership development, and organisational coaching.
Your default applies automatically whenever you assign a new session. You can override it for any individual client at the point of assignment — see Section 6.
Section 5
Understanding assessments
An assessment is a single session credit. Each assessment allows one client to complete one Enneagram session. Assessments are purchased in packs and stored in your account until you assign them.
Assessment expiry
- Unassigned assessments expire one year from the date of purchase.
- Assigned assessments (sent to a client) expire 10 days from the date you send them. If your client doesn't complete the session within 10 days, the link stops working.
Reclaiming an unused assessment
If you assigned an assessment to a client who hasn't used it and you want to reallocate it:
- Go to the Assessments tab
- Find the assigned assessment in the table
- Click Cancel & reclaim
- Confirm the prompt — the assessment returns to your available pool immediately
- The client's original link stops working
Section 6
Sending a session to a client
- In your dashboard, go to the Assessments tab
- Click + Assign to client
- Enter a name for the client, used to personalise their greeting. This can be a full name, a first name, initials, or a reference like "Client 14" if they prefer to stay anonymous.
- Enter their email address — this is where the link and report will be sent
- Select the report type — Personal Insight Report or Professional Insight Report. This defaults to your setting in the Settings tab but can be changed for any individual client here.
- Optionally, add a personal message for this specific client. Leave blank to use your saved email template.
- Choose whether to send reminder emails — ticked by default. Uncheck to suppress all reminders for this client.
- Click Send assessment link
The client receives an email within seconds containing their personal, one-time session link. The email is sent from hello@enneagramtest.co.uk with you copied in, using your branding and template.
Reminder emails
If reminders are enabled (the default), the platform automatically sends your client a nudge email if they haven't completed their session. Reminders are sent at:
- Day 3 — a gentle prompt to get started
- Day 7 — a final reminder that the link expires in 3 days
- Day 9 — a last-chance notice with 1 day remaining
If your client has started but not finished, the wording adjusts automatically to acknowledge they've begun and encourage them to complete the session.
All reminder emails use your branding and appear to come from you. To suppress reminders for a specific client — for example if the timing is sensitive — uncheck Send reminder emails when assigning their token.
What the client receives
The email includes:
- Your practice logo (if set)
- Your personal message or default template text
- A prominent Start your Enneagram session → button
- A note that the link is personal, one-time use, and expires in 10 days
- Your email footer with your practice details
Section 7
The client experience
Understanding what your client sees helps you prepare them and debrief them effectively.
Step 1 — The intro screen
When the client clicks their link, they see an intro screen showing your logo and photo (if set), a warm welcome message, and two fields: their name and the email address where they want their report sent. They also see a brief note about personal questions and their right to skip anything they're not comfortable with.
The intro screen also includes a consent statement explaining that their report will be shared with you, their practitioner, for review before being sent to them.
Step 2 — The conversation
After clicking Begin my session, the AI guide introduces itself as your virtual Enneagram guide and begins the conversation. The process takes 20–25 minutes and covers:
- Rapport building and getting to know the client
- Exploring their Hornevian and Harmonic style
- Deep exploration of motivations, fears, relationships and stress patterns
- Narrowing down to their Enneagram type
- Identifying their instinctual variant and subtype
- Confirming and refining before the report
Step 3 — The report
When the conversation is complete, the client sees a completion screen confirming their session is done and that their report will arrive by email shortly. The report is generated in the background and delivered to your dashboard.
The conversation itself is identical regardless of report type — the report type you selected determines how the findings are structured and framed.
Personal Insight Report
A personal development report covering:
- Dominant type and confidence level
- Core motivations, desires and fears
- Subtype profile (e.g. Self-Preservation 4)
- Key strengths
- Wing influences
- Centre of structure
- Vice & Virtue
- Struggle and Growth Lines
- Challenges & Blind Spots
- Growth Path & Recommendations
- Type Presence chart across all 9 types
- Summary Insight
Professional Insight Report
A professional profile reframed for the workplace, covering:
- Executive Summary
- Enneagram Profile Overview
- Wing Influences
- Core Motivational Drivers (reframed in terms of professional behaviour)
- Workplace Strengths
- Potential Challenges & Blind Spots
- Communication & Collaboration Style
- Leadership & Decision-Making Approach
- Response to Stress & Change
- Growth Opportunities & Development Recommendations
- Team Fit & Organisational Value
- Instinctual Subtype in the Workplace
- Type Presence chart across all 9 types
Step 4 — The done screen
After the conversation, the client sees a completion screen confirming their session is done and that their report will arrive by email shortly. They can then close the tab.
You receive a notification email as soon as the session is complete, showing the client's name and Enneagram type. The full report is sent to your dashboard for review — see Section 8.
Section 8
After the session
Notification email
As soon as your client completes their session, you receive a brief email from EnneagramTest:
- Client name
- Enneagram type (e.g. SO 7)
- Date of completion
This is intentionally brief — no report content is included. The full report is waiting for you in your dashboard.
Viewing your dashboard
In the Assessments tab your admin dashboard, the completed assessment now shows:
- Status: used
- The client's Enneagram type in the Type column
- The date used
Reviewing and sending the report
The report is available in your dashboard as soon as it is generated — usually within a few seconds of the session completing. Open it from the Assessments tab, review the content, and when you are ready click Send report to client. Your client receives a secure link by email with your branding — they can read the full report online and download it as a PDF.
By sending the report to your client, you confirm that you have reviewed it and are satisfied that it is appropriate to share. You retain responsibility for any safeguarding considerations that arise from the content.
Re-viewing a sent report
Once sent, the report doesn't disappear from your side — the client's row in the Assessments tab shows the date it was sent, and a View report button remains in the Actions column so you can reopen it at any time, for example to prepare for a follow-up session. This link works for 30 days after the session completes, the same window your client has to view and download their copy. After 30 days the report is automatically deleted and the Actions column shows "Report expired" instead of the button.

Referring a colleague
The Settings tab contains your unique referral link. When a colleague registers using it and completes their first purchase, you automatically receive 2 bonus assessment tokens — credited to your account with no further action needed on your part.
How to share your link
- Go to the Settings tab in your dashboard
- Find the Refer a colleague card
- Click Copy link and share it with your colleague — by email, WhatsApp, or however you prefer
Your colleague registers and pays for their starter pack in the normal way. Once their payment is confirmed, 2 tokens are added to your account and you will receive an email letting you know.
Section 11
Leaving a review
We'd love to hear how EnneagramTest is working in your practice. Your review helps other practitioners make an informed decision about the platform.
- Go to the Reviews tab in your dashboard
- Select your star rating (1–5)
- Write your review in the text field
- Click Submit review
Reviews are checked by our AI before publication to ensure they reflect a genuine experience of the platform. You'll see the result — approved or not — immediately after submitting.
Section 12
Frequently asked questions
Can my client redo the session?
No. Each session link is personal and one-time use. Once a session is completed, the link cannot be used again. If you want a client to redo the session (for example after significant growth), you would assign them a new assessment.
What happens if my client doesn't complete the session?
If they close the browser mid-session, the assessment is still valid — they can use the same link to resume and the conversation will continue from where they left off. Their progress is saved automatically.
What if the link expires before my client uses it?
The link stops working after 10 days. You can reclaim the assessment from your dashboard (it returns to your available pool) and send a new link.
Is the conversation stored?
Yes — but briefly. Your client's conversation transcript and report are stored securely for 30 days after the session is completed, then deleted automatically. This gives you time to review the report and send it to your client. The transcript is never shared externally and is never visible to you.
Can I see what my client said during the session?
No — and by design. The conversation is private to the client and never visible to you. You receive the full report automatically via your dashboard, but the underlying conversation transcript remains confidential.
What if the AI gets the type wrong?
The AI is highly accurate but not infallible. Always encourage clients to read their report with an open mind and bring any questions or disagreements to your session. The Enneagram is an exploratory tool — the real typing conversation happens between you and the client.
Can I change my branding after clients have been sent links?
Yes. Branding changes take effect for all future sessions. Clients who have already received a link will see your updated branding when they open the session page (branding is applied live, not baked into the link).
What if a client doesn't receive the email?
Ask them to check their spam or junk folder first. The email comes from hello@enneagramtest.co.uk — occasionally this may be filtered, especially on corporate email systems. If it still doesn't arrive, contact us and we can investigate.
Can I use EnneagramTest on mobile?
Yes — the session page and admin dashboard are both fully responsive and work on mobile, tablet and desktop. Clients can complete their session on any device.
What language is the session in?
English only, currently.
